Tax preparation
Individual and business returns prepared by a licensed CPA, reviewed with you before anything is filed, and e-filed on time. You will understand what is on the return and why.
What this covers
Individual returns
Form 1040 and the Arizona return, including itemized deductions, investment income, retirement distributions and multi-state situations.
Self-employed and rentals
Schedule C for sole proprietors and single-member LLCs, and Schedule E for rental property and pass-through income.
S-corporations
Form 1120-S and the shareholder K-1s, including reasonable compensation and basis tracking that a lot of returns quietly get wrong.
Partnerships
Form 1065 and partner K-1s, with allocations that match what the operating agreement actually says.
Year-round planning
Estimated payments, entity questions and the decisions that change a tax bill. Those are made during the year, not in April.
Extensions and amendments
Filed properly when the information is not ready, and prior-year returns corrected when something was missed.
Who this is for
- Individuals and families who want a credentialed preparer rather than seasonal help
- Small business owners filing a Schedule C, 1120-S or 1065
- Landlords and anyone with rental or pass-through income
- People whose situation changed this year, through a business, a move, a house or an inheritance
What to have ready
- Last year's federal and state return
- W-2s, 1099s, K-1s and brokerage statements
- Mortgage interest, property tax and charitable giving records
- For a business: profit and loss, balance sheet and payroll reports
- For rentals: income, expenses and any closing statements
- Records of estimated tax payments already made
Do not worry if some of this is missing. Part of the job is telling you exactly what is still needed.
How it works
A short call
Twenty minutes to understand your situation and tell you what the work involves and roughly what it costs. No charge.
Documents, securely
You upload what you have through the secure client portal. We tell you exactly what is still missing rather than leaving you to guess.
Preparation and review
The return is prepared and then reviewed. If something looks off in your records, you hear about it before it becomes a filing problem.
We walk it together
You see the return and the numbers behind it before it is filed. Questions are expected, not tolerated.
E-file and next year
You e-sign, we file, and you get a copy plus a short list of what to do differently next year.
Other services
Bookkeeping
Monthly close and clean, reconciled records, so filing season is a formality instead of an excavation.
Payroll
Pay runs, quarterly filings, and year-end W-2s and 1099s, with deposits made on schedule.
Arizona TPT
Transaction privilege tax registration and filings, including the city-by-city rates that catch out-of-state help.
IRS notices
A letter arrived and you would rather not read it twice. A CPA can respond and represent you directly.
